I enjoy coming here when I camp in Old Orchard. It's really not that bad of a place to visit, and the rides are kept up with safety so it is not at all an issue. Some of the rides do look old, but that's because they are old--but they are very safe. I talked to someone about this two summers ago.
They have added in some new rides recently. I can't remember the name, but there is one the takes you up in the air and spins you around on two separate axles while you move up and down. Very fun. Also, it is located right on the beach so the peir is right next to it, and that is always fun walking along. There are lots of games too, so kids of all ages will love it. I would huighly reccomend this place. I go back every year, and I plan on continuing
Just ok

Palace playland used to be much better, but they haven't updated and because of this they are now outdated. I go here occasionally for something to do. They have the typical amusement park rides, but nothing special. The place seems rundown. The prices are good.

Palace Playland is just ok in my book. It is less expensive than Funtown/Splashtown, which is a plus, but they do not offer as far as rides. They have all the standard amusement park rides, ferris wheel, bumper cars, etc., but there is just nothing special about this place. Id choose to spend more money and feel like I got more out of my experience some place else.
